This shot was taken during Moby's DJ set at Rifflandia Music Festival this year. He DJ'd an unreal set, much to everyone's surprise. Although there was little to no space in the crowd, I really enjoy this photo because of how alone he looks up on stage. You'd never guess the size of the crowd was as big as it was!

Gear:
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Lens: Lensbaby Analog f/2 (Tilt-Shift Lens)

Camera Settings:
Shutter Speed: 1/125 second
Aperture: f/2

White Balance: Auto

Post-Production:

Photoshop Camera RAW: I increased the exposure and brightened the shadows to achieve a flatter, less contrasted image. I brought the highlights and whites down to help bring back some detail in the subject. I also darkened the blacks to prevent the photo from looking too washed out, and increased the clarity to bring out more detail. I then cross-processed the image in the curves section. After that was done, I moved on to the colour portion of the program. I saturated the oranges and desaturated the reds to bring some colour back into the skin, yet also increased the luminance in those colours to help brighten the subject. I also saturated the blues and changed their hue to a slightly more aqua colour to change the tones in the background. In the split-toning section, I added a touch of pink in the highlights and a touch of blue in the shadows. I then went back to the curves to add a matte finish to the photo.

Photoshop: I removed a balloon and some light flares using the spot-healing brush with content-awareness turned on. Once that was I completed, I saved the file as a JPEG.
